Just
as physical exercise is important for our body,
mental exercise is important for our brains to
be quick and active. Solving puzzles and calculating
sums forms a part of the mental exercise. In an
attempt to get the children to give enough stimulation
to their brains, Divesh Shah has specially designed
set of exercise papers, each containing twenty
questions to be attempted in seven minutes.
The question sets are segregated
age-wise and are used to determine the calculating
abilities of children. The teachers and parents
can use the results to correct the basics of the
children taking maxercise. Solving these carefully
laid out questions helps students to work on their
speed and ability to calculate single digit as
well as multiple digit numbers.
The maxercise book compiled by
Divesh Shah contains 365 question sets of 20 questions
each, one to be solved each day of the year. Shah
opines that a maxercise a day boosts the confidence
of student who solves it. These exercise papers
are set in such a way that the students can learn
concepts in stepwise and gradual manner.
